- The study examined the independent and combined effects of rest-activity circadian rhythms (RACRs) and physical activity (PA) on all-cause and cardiovascular mortality, with 6,621 adults from NHANES 2011-2014.
- Participants with strong RACRs and adequate PA had significantly reduced mortality risks compared to those with weak RACRs and inadequate PA (all-cause mortality HR: 0.35; cardiovascular mortality HR: 0.25).
- Accelerated biological aging, measured via Phenotypic Age Acceleration (PhenoAgeAccel) and Biological Age Acceleration (BioAgeAccel), partially mediated the link between RACRs and mortality, suggesting a role in this association.
