Anthropic co-founder to present AI encyclical alongside Pope Leo XIV

Pope Leo XIV's first encyclical 'Magnifica humanitas' will be released on May 25, 2026, focusing on preserving the human person in the AI age.
The encyclical is signed on May 15, marking the 135th anniversary of Pope Leo XIII's 'Rerum novarum'.
A presentation event will be held on May 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the Vatican's Synod Hall, with Pope Leo XIV attending.
Speakers include Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández, Cardinal Michael Czerny, Professor Anna Rowlands, Christopher Olah, and Professor Leocadie Lushombo.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin will give closing remarks, followed by an address and blessing by Pope Leo XIV.
