- Compared extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP) with systemic immunosuppressants (IS) for treating steroid-refractory/dependent immune-related adverse events (irAEs).
- ECP led to lower cumulative corticosteroid use (395 mg vs 1,260 mg prednisolone equivalent) and significantly improved quality of life at week 12.
- In advanced cutaneous melanoma, ECP was associated with better overall survival (15 vs 10 months) and progression-free survival (9 vs 3 months).
- ECP showed a favorable safety profile and no evidence of compromised antitumor activity compared to IS.
