  • The study retrospectively analyzed 1250 patients with bilateral adrenal masses from 2010-2025 across 17 endocrine centers in Turkey.
  • Most patients (62.3%) had nonfunctioning adenomas, while others were diagnosed with autonomous cortisol secretion (19.9%), Cushing's syndrome (6.6%), or primary aldosteronism (11.2%).
  • Biochemical parameters like basal cortisol, ACTH, and dexamethasone-suppressed cortisol levels differed significantly among diagnostic groups.
  • Radiologically, adenomas were most common (92.3%), with 84.6–88% showing Hounsfield Units ≤10 on CT, indicating lipid-rich adenomas, and MRI confirmed this in 89% of cases evaluated.
  • No significant correlation was found between clinical diagnosis and Hounsfield Unit values of adrenal masses.
