- Central sensitization, specifically pelvic and perineal pain central sensitization (PPCS), was present in 54.4% of patients with chronic pelvic pain (CPP) resistant to hormonal therapy.

- Patients with PPCS had significantly higher use of strong analgesics (adjusted OR 2.48) and markedly impaired quality of life (+5.19 points on EHP-5 scale).
