  • The 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine, when co-administered with the influenza vaccine, was associated with a reduced risk of COVID-19-associated major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) over 8 months, with a vaccine effectiveness of 37.7%.
  • The reduction in COVID-19-associated MACE risk was statistically significant only in individuals older than 75 years (VE 50.7%), who also experienced the largest absolute risk reduction (5.5 fewer events per 10,000 individuals).
  • No statistically significant vaccine effectiveness was observed in those younger than 65 or aged 65-75, though relative benefits were seen across subgroups with and without comorbidities, with greater absolute benefit for those with comorbid conditions.
  • Secondary analyses indicated substantially larger absolute risk reductions for all-cause MACE, hospitalization, and death, suggesting the vaccine's protective effect extends to undetected SARS-CoV-2 infections and their sequelae.
