Driver intentionally drove Cybertruck into lake to use vehicle's 'Wade Mode

A Tesla Cybertruck was intentionally driven into Grapevine Lake by the driver to test its 'Wade Mode' feature.
The feature allows driving through water up to 32 inches deep, but the truck got disabled and took on water, forcing the driver and passenger to abandon it.
The driver was arrested for violations including operating in a closed lake section and lacking proper boat registration and safety equipment.
Police warn that even if a vehicle can enter shallow water, it may lead to legal and safety issues under Texas law.
