Amazon Announces Multibillion-Dollar Data Center in Missouri

Amazon Web Services (AWS) announces a multibillion-dollar data center campus investment in Montgomery County, Missouri.
The project is expected to create over 400 full-time data center jobs and thousands of construction roles, including technical positions with competitive pay and benefits.
The campus will support AWS cloud computing and AI workloads, building on Amazon's existing presence in Missouri where it already employs over 10,000 people.
Energy and sustainability agreements include a 138 MW carbon-free energy project and water-efficient features like free-air cooling, rainwater harvesting, and on-site water recycling.
The investment is projected to generate hundreds of millions in new tax revenue and includes over $7 million in community contributions for public safety, infrastructure, and STEM education.
