- A ferritin-based nanovaccine uses mosaic-like display of conserved epitopes from H1 and H3 swine influenza viruses (SIVs) and M2e.
- The mosaic nanovaccine (MHFm) induces stronger IgG-mediated ADCC, T-cell responses, and cytokine secretion than the cocktail version (MHFc).
- MHFm provides complete cross-protection against lethal H1N1 and H3N2 SIV challenges in mice, while MHFc offers only partial protection.
- The approach represents a promising strategy for developing broad-spectrum vaccines against antigenically drifting SIVs.
