- Pulsed field ablation (PFA) using a small-basket pentaspline catheter for cavotricuspid isthmus (CTI) ablation showed no major coronary artery stenosis progression in most patients (98.2%) based on follow-up CT scans.
- Compared to radiofrequency ablation (RFA), PFA was associated with shorter procedure times, faster achievement of CTI block, and higher first-pass success rates.
- Only one patient (1.8%) in the PFA group experienced a transient right coronary artery spasm, while no such events occurred in the RFA group.
- The study suggests PFA is safe for CTI ablation regarding coronary effects, but long-term safety and efficacy require further prospective investigation.
