- Alpine Linux 3.24.0 is released as the first stable version in the v3.24 series.
- Python setuptools 82.0.0 removes the deprecated pkg_resources module, requiring dependent projects to migrate.
- The qemu-binfmt service is deprecated in favor of binfmt.d config files from user mode qemu packages.
- The installer (setup-alpine) now supports the Limine boot loader and has gained IPv6 support, with automatic serial console configuration for headless setups.
- COSMIC 1 desktop environment by System76 is now available in the community repository.
- GTK+ 3.0 has been moved from the main to the community repository.
- Additional GTK 2 and Qt5 packages, as well as libsoup 2, have been removed as part of ongoing deprecation efforts.
