  • In a rat model of endometriosis, human dental pulp-derived mesenchymal stem cells (DP-MSCs) were tested for therapeutic effects.
  • DP-MSCs treatment, especially double dosing, significantly reduced inflammatory markers (TNF-α, IL-6) and angiogenesis marker (VEGF) in the peritoneum and systemically.
  • Histopathological evaluation showed improved lesion structure and reduced fibrosis, with the strongest effects seen after double-dose DP-MSCs administration.
  • Immunohistochemistry confirmed decreased expression of CA-125, VEGF, type I collagen, and TNF-α in endometriotic lesions following DP-MSCs therapy.
  • The study concludes that DP-MSCs effectively mitigate endometriosis progression via synergistic anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic, and anti-fibrotic actions in a dose-dependent manner.
