  • GitHub Copilot plans will move to usage-based billing starting June 1, 2026, replacing premium request units with GitHub AI Credits.
  • Monthly plans will include an allotment of AI Credits, with pricing based on token consumption (input, output, cached) using published API rates.
  • Base plan prices remain unchanged: Copilot Pro ($10/month), Pro+ ($39/month), Business ($19/user/month), Enterprise ($39/user/month).
  • Code completions and Next Edit suggestions remain included and do not use AI Credits; fallback experiences will no longer be available.
  • Business and Enterprise customers get promotional credits for June-August 2024 and gain pooled usage and budget controls for managing spend.
  • A preview billing experience will launch in early May 2024 to show projected costs before the transition.
