Chuwi CoreBook X was advertised with an AMD Ryzen 5 7430U but actually contains an older AMD Ryzen 5 5500U.
The discrepancy was confirmed by checking the OPN number on the chip after disassembling the device.
Initial performance tests showed anomalies, but these were initially attributed to single-channel RAM rather than a different CPU.
Benchmark comparisons reveal significant performance differences between the advertised 7430U and the actual 5500U.
Chuwi responded by citing different production batches and remaining stock but did not admit fault or offer a clear resolution.
