- Study compared BIC/F/TAF and DOR/3TC/TDF in therapy-naive adults with baseline HIV RNA >500,000 copies/mL.
- Both regimens showed high and comparable virological efficacy after 12 months: 93% vs. 89% achieved HIV RNA <20 copies/mL.
- Immunological CD4 count increases were similar (+139 vs. +117 cells/mm³), with comparable adverse events.
- BIC/F/TAF group had significantly greater weight gain (+1.64 kg vs. +0.85 kg) and LDL cholesterol increase.
- Conclusion: Both regimens are effective for high viraemia, but BIC/F/TAF had more metabolic changes.
