OpenWRT 25.12.0 Released

OpenWrt 25.12.0 is the first stable release of the OpenWrt 25.12 series.
Upgrade from OpenWrt 24.10 to 25.12 is supported using sysupgrade, with configuration preservation advised.
OpenWrt 25.12.0 includes over 4600 commits and supports over 2240 devices, adding 220 new devices.
The package manager has switched from opkg to apk (Alpine Package Keeper), with an opkg-to-apk cheatsheet available for migration.
Attended sysupgrade (ASU) is now integrated by default, simplifying firmware upgrades and package preservation.
Shell command history is now preserved across sessions in a RAM-backed filesystem.
Wi-Fi scripts have been rewritten in ucode, and the video feed with Qt5 and UI applications is integrated by default.
Core components have been updated, including musl libc 1.2.5, glibc 2.41, gcc 14.3.0, and Linux kernel 6.12.71.
Known issues include WAN interface renaming for Zyxel EX5601-T0 devices.
Users are encouraged to test the release and report bugs via the issue tracker.
