- Log into a Mac classroom computer to start the program.
- Click the Application icon in the dock and navigate to the program.
- Wait for the program to load, then the Main XEphem Window will appear.
- Click on raised rectangles to change values, like setting elevation to 500 meters.
- Use the Tools menu for utilities like the Coordinates converter.
- View the sky by selecting View -> Sky View in the Main Window.
- View specific planets like Saturn with View -> Saturn for detailed information.
- Access the Data -> Index to see a list of objects in the program's memory.
- Search or scroll through the list and add objects to favorites using the Favorite button.
- View favorites in the Data Table or add them via the Sky View window by right-clicking.
