WKRP in Cincinnati, originally a TV sitcom, has become a real radio station in Cincinnati after nearly 50 years.
An FM station called 'The Oasis' acquired the WKRP call letters from a nonprofit station in North Carolina through an auction.
The station celebrated its launch by playing the TV show's theme song for six hours and will focus on classic rock from the 1960s to 1980s.
Gary Sandy, who played program director Andy Travis, has recorded promos for the revived station, and episodes of the original show are available on YouTube.
