DOGE is developing an AI tool called the 'DOGE AI Deregulation Decision Tool' to analyze federal regulations.

Agencies are expected to complete deregulation lists by September 1, with the tool promising a four-week turnaround.
The AI targets regulations no longer required by law, with human staff reviewing deletions before finalization.
The tool has been tested at the CFPB (used for 100% of deregulations) and HUD (1,083 regulatory sections reviewed).
HUD employees reported occasional inaccuracies, including misinterpreting legal language.
DOGE plans to train other agencies on the tool starting this month.
