Switched from Arch Linux to NixOS for its reproducible system configuration via Nix files.
NixOS often breaks before updates, requiring frequent configuration fixes.
Components like audio or Bluetooth randomly stop working after updates.
NixOS update sizes are larger due to keeping multiple versions of packages.
Regular maintenance updates can take hours due to compilation from source.
Binary caches like Cachix are unreliable, often missing required packages.
Prefer Arch Linux for its simplicity, speed, and smaller update sizes.
NixOS is not recommended for daily desktop use unless for specific cases.
