Doge reportedly planning a hackathon to build 'mega API' for IRS data

Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is hosting a hackathon to create a 'mega API' for taxpayer data access.
The hackathon is organized by DOGE staffers Gavin Kliger and Sam Corcos (CEO of Levels).
The goal is to build a unified API ('one new API to rule them all') for streamlined data access.
The API would allow cloud providers to access sensitive IRS data (names, SSNs, tax returns, employment info).
A third-party vendor, possibly Palantir, may manage parts of the project.
An anonymous IRS worker raised concerns about data security under Musk’s oversight.
