Google won't ditch third-party cookies in Chrome after all

Google has abandoned its plan to disable third-party cookies via the Privacy Sandbox initiative.
The Privacy Sandbox, launched in 2019, aimed to replace third-party cookies with privacy-focused ad-targeting solutions like FLoC and Topics API.
Google faced criticism and delays, with FLoC deemed ineffective and Topics API still under development.
A planned Chrome dialog prompting users to disable third-party cookies has been scrapped.
Users can still manually disable third-party cookies in Chrome if they choose.
