- Linux 6.17 will now correctly map F13 to F24 keys on PS/2 keyboards by default.
- The ATKBD driver patch was contributed by Werner Sembach from TUXEDO Computers.
- Microsoft Windows has long recognized F13-F24 keys, though they are rarely physical keys on most keyboards.
- Specialized keyboards like the Unicomp PC 122 include these function keys.
- The patch ensures F24 is mapped correctly, resolving conflicts with Zenkaku/Hankaku keys.
- F13-F22 scancodes were previously unmapped, so this change avoids potential issues.
- Linux 6.17 also includes improvements to Samsung keypad, evdev input handling, and Synaptics RMI driver.
- Goodix touchscreen driver now supports polling mode and FocalTech FT8716.
