- Primary outcome: 5-year all-cause mortality was higher with TAVI (29.7%) compared to SAVR (27.6%).
- Secondary outcomes: TAVI showed a high probability of increased stroke risk (88% posterior probability) compared to SAVR.
- Results consistent across conventional frequentist models, with no significant interaction effect based on surgical risk category.
- Conclusion: TAVI associated with clinically relevant increase in mortality and probable higher stroke risk at 5 years versus SAVR in low- to intermediate-risk patients.
