- GitHub is pausing new signups for Copilot Student, Pro, and Pro+ plans to prioritize existing paying customers, while Copilot Free remains open.
- Pro+ plans offer over 5x higher usage limits than Pro, with warnings in VS Code and CLI, and usage progress tracking to be added.
- Opus models are removed from Copilot Pro but remain available on Pro+, with older versions 4.5 and 4.6 also being phased out.
- Users can cancel Pro or Pro+ subscriptions for a refund on April usage if changes cause issues, with refund requests accepted from April 20 to May 20.
