Google Launches NotebookLM for Android

Google released the NotebookLM app for Android ahead of I/O 2025.
The app features a homepage with filters for Recent, Shared, Title, and Downloaded notebooks.
Supports light and dark mode based on the device’s system theme.
Notebook cards display name, emoji, number of sources, date, and an Audio Overview play button.
Offers background playback and offline support for podcast-style experiences.
Users can 'Join' AI hosts (beta) to ask follow-up questions.
Includes a 'Create new' button to add PDFs, websites, YouTube videos, and text.
App appears in Android and iOS share sheets for quick source addition.
Notebook interface includes a bottom bar for Sources, Chat Q&A, and Studio.
Available for phone and tablet, but lacks Material 3 integration.
Android version is available now; iOS version is not yet released.
