Sergei I. Sikorsky, son of aviation pioneer Igor Sikorsky, passed away at the age of 100.
He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II and had a 41-year career at Sikorsky.
Sergei played a key role in Sikorsky's growth into a leading helicopter manufacturer.
He held various roles including international marketing, sales, and division vice president.
Even after retirement, Sergei remained active as a goodwill ambassador for Sikorsky.
The Sergei I. Sikorsky Flight Center was dedicated in his honor in 2019.
