Swiss voters approved a constitutional amendment to safeguard the use of Swiss franc cash.
73.4% of voters supported the government's proposal, countering a similar initiative by the Swiss Freedom Movement.
The Swiss Freedom Movement's initiative, which collected over 100,000 signatures, secured only 46% of the vote.
The government argued that some of the group's proposed amendments were excessive.
