- Doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis (Doxy PEP) was studied for its effects on bacterial STIs and ART adherence in youth living with HIV.
- The study was a retrospective pre-post cohort analysis involving 27 patients aged 15-22 years.
- Results showed no significant reduction in STI positivity (chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis) post-Doxy PEP initiation.
- ART adherence remained high and stable (mean PDC 88.5% pre vs. 91.6% post).
