Google Maps is changing functionality for signed-out users, hiding reviews and images.
A 'limited view' mode appears if users are not signed into a Google account.
Google cites issues like unusual traffic or browser extensions as possible reasons for the limited view.
Signed-in users see nearby hotels, rentals, user photos, and area facts, while signed-out users see almost none of this.
Restaurant listings for signed-out users lack dine-in/takeout/delivery status, user reviews, popular times, photos, videos, menus, and related locations.
The absence of user reviews is particularly impactful, as Google Maps has built a vast repository of valuable user feedback.
