Cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome (CKM) is highly prevalent (90%) in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
Procedural success decreases with increasing CKM conditions, with the worst outcomes in patients having all three CKM conditions (ASCVD, CKD, DM).
Patients with 2 or 3 CKM conditions have a higher probability of death within 1 year compared to those with fewer or no CKM conditions.
Three CKM conditions are associated with higher rates of permanent pacemaker implantation but not major bleeding.
After adjusting for comorbidities, three CKM conditions remained linked to increased all-cause mortality at 1, 2, and 5 years post-TAVI.
