- JDK 25, the reference implementation of Java 25, is now Generally Available (GA).
- Build 36 is the GA build, ready for production use, with no P1 bugs reported since its release as the second Release Candidate on 15 August.
- GPL-licensed OpenJDK builds from Oracle are available at https://jdk.java.net/25.
- This release includes eighteen JEPs (Java Enhancement Proposals) covering various features and improvements.
- Notable JEPs include PEM Encodings of Cryptographic Objects (Preview), Structured Concurrency (Fifth Preview), Vector API (Tenth Incubator), and Generational Shenandoah.
- The release also includes hundreds of smaller enhancements and thousands of bug fixes.
- Acknowledgments to all contributors for their efforts in designing, implementing, testing, and fixing bugs.
