LineShine, a Chinese system, debuts as the world's most powerful supercomputer with 2.198 exaflops on the HPL benchmark.
LineShine is the first CPU-only system to exceed two exaflops, using custom Chinese processors and the LingKun platform.
There are now five exascale systems worldwide, spanning Asia (China), North America (U.S.), and Europe (Germany).
