- Python 3.14.0 is now available as the newest stable release.
- Major new features include PEP 779 (Free-threaded Python), PEP 649 (deferred annotation evaluation), PEP 750 (template string literals), and PEP 734 (multiple interpreters in stdlib).
- New module compression.zstd for Zstandard compression algorithm support.
- Syntax highlighting in PyREPL and color support in unittest, argparse, json, and calendar CLIs.
- UUID versions 6-8 supported, with faster generation for versions 3-5.
- Improved error messages and a new type of interpreter for better performance with newer compilers.
- Official macOS and Windows release binaries include an experimental JIT compiler.
- Android binary releases are now officially available.
- Python 3.14 no longer provides PGP signatures for release artifacts; Sigstore is recommended instead.
- The Windows installer is being replaced by a new install manager available via the Windows Store or download page.
