- A clinical Salmonella enterica serovar Rissen isolate was found to carry a novel IncN2 plasmid (pSEay-KPC) with the blaKPC-2 gene.

- The pathogen survived two consecutive antibiotic therapies (ceftriaxone and ciprofloxacin) but was effectively treated with meropenem-vaborbactam.
