- Efgartigimod add-on therapy with IVMP was studied in 27 patients with NMOSD or MOGAD during acute attack phase.
- The efgartigimod group had greater EDSS reduction (1.3 ± 0.6) compared to IVMP alone (0.5 ± 0.5).
- Serum IgG levels decreased by 69.8% post-therapy in the efgartigimod group, with 69.2% showing reduced antibody titers.
- Higher dose efgartigimod (20 mg/kg, two doses) led to rapid decreases in EDSS and antibody titers.
- The study suggests efgartigimod may accelerate short-term recovery in NMOSD and MOGAD patients more effectively than IVMP alone.
