Europe–not US–first to authorize Moderna's combo mRNA flu-Covid vaccine

Moderna's mRNA combination vaccine for flu and COVID-19, mCOMBRIAX, has received European Commission authorization.
The vaccine is the world's first authorized combination shot for both respiratory viruses, based on positive Phase III trial results.
In trials with around 4,000 adults, it induced higher immune responses against flu strains and SARS-CoV-2 compared to standard vaccines, with no safety concerns.
