- Started homelab journey in 2016 with a Raspberry Pi to host a personal website.
- Upgraded to a D-Link DNS-323 NAS but found it slow and outdated.
- Built first real home server using Arch Linux but faced management issues with native app deployment.
- Moved to Proxmox and LXC containers, then Docker for easier app deployment.
- Discovered Kubernetes, Talos Linux, and FluxCD for GitOps and declarative infrastructure.
- Implemented Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform for VM management.
- Upgraded to a Dell PowerEdge R740 for more power and features like iDRAC.
- Currently migrating services to R740, exploring local AI models, and learning IPv6.
