NEC PC Engine LT from 1991 is a laptop-style PC Engine with a built-in color LCD.
Common failure due to capacitor leakage; this unit required a full recap.
A failed 6.5V regulator (M5291FP) was replaced, restoring sound and backlight.
LCD bias transformer (T500) was damaged by electrolyte; replaced with an MC34063A inverter module.
Turbo Everdrive Pro flashcart used for testing games and diagnostics.
Extensive cleaning included white vinegar neutralization and ultrasonic cleaning to remove electrolyte.
After repairs, the screen initially stayed dark until the negative voltage issue was resolved.
Trial and error led to a compact voltage inverter module fitting into the shell recess.
Successful restoration brought the PC Engine LT back to working condition.
