- Retrospective study of 102 children, adolescents, and young adults (CAYA) with stage III-IVB nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).
- GP and TPF induction chemotherapy achieved higher objective response rates (ORR) than TP, with TPF reaching 89.5%.
- Adding immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) to chemotherapy improved ORR (93.3%) but no survival benefit was seen in limited follow-up.
- For patients with partial response post-induction, concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) or anti-EGFR therapy with radiotherapy significantly improved 1-year progression-free survival (PFS) and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS).
- Consolidation therapy was linked to clinical stage but did not significantly impact survival outcomes overall.
