  • In spring 1970, the City of Paris and FNAC organized an amateur photography contest to create an exhaustive photographic coverage of Paris, divided into a grid of 1755 squares, each 250 meters per side.
  • 15,000 candidates registered, and 2,800 submitted complete portfolios.
  • The photographs were donated to the Bibliothèque historique de la Ville de Paris, which digitized them and made them available on their website.
  • This site allows users to view all photos from a square at a glance before accessing high-definition versions on the Bibliothèque historique's website.
  • There are 30,225 digitized photographs from 6,918 candidates available.
  • Note: Only digitized photos are available; some submitted proofs are not part of the digitized collection.
  • Each page of the plan is divided into 250-meter squares. Click on a page to display it and select the square of interest.
