- Traditional scores like PELOD-2 (AUC 0.90), PRISM III (AUC 0.89), and Phoenix-8 (AUC 0.89) had higher AUCs than PSS, while SIRS had the lowest (AUC 0.73), and pSOFA was comparable to PSS (AUC 0.87).
- PSS performed similarly to other scores for predicting early death or ECMO use, and no significant miscalibration was found across systems, making it suitable for early risk stratification in these settings.
