We let Chrome's Auto Browse agent surf the web for us–here's what happened

AI agents are evolving from chatbots to multi-task assistants, though still not reliable for critical tasks.
Google's Auto Browse agent, part of Chrome, is now available in preview for AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.
Auto Browse was tested on playing a web game (2048) but couldn't use arrow keys, requiring on-screen controls.
The agent played the game effectively but paused for 20-30 seconds between moves and stopped prematurely.
Despite limitations, Auto Browse made 149 moves and created a 128 tile in 20 minutes.
