AdGuard VPN protocol goes open-source – meet TrustTunnel

AdGuard VPN protocol, now named TrustTunnel, has been open-sourced.
TrustTunnel is a modern, secure, and mobile-optimized VPN protocol designed to blend in with HTTPS traffic.
It addresses weaknesses in traditional VPN protocols like OpenVPN and WireGuard by being harder to detect and block.
TrustTunnel uses TLS-based encryption and HTTP/2 or HTTP/3 transport for efficient and secure data transmission.
The protocol is optimized for mobile platforms and performs well in unstable network conditions.
AdGuard aims for TrustTunnel to be widely used, including by other VPN services, promoting open-source development.
The first version of the TrustTunnel specification and complete code for server and clients have been released.
TrustTunnel clients are available for Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android with flexible routing and real-time logging.
Users can self-host TrustTunnel and contribute to its development via GitHub.
