- 320 patients analyzed: 177 on AZA, 143 on MMF.
- Treatment goal (Minimal Manifestations) achieved by 66.1% on AZA (median 17.5 months) and 68.5% on MMF (median 10.5 months).
- MMF showed faster achievement of treatment goal compared to AZA (p = 0.0004).
- Concomitant prednisone increased the proportion of patients reaching treatment goal with either drug (p < 0.0001).
- Shorter disease duration at drug initiation correlated with quicker achievement of treatment goal (Pearson r = 0.32, p = 2.3 × 10^-6).
- Study highlights the importance of early immunosuppressive treatment and concomitant prednisone in gMG management.
