- The study compared ticagrelor versus clopidogrel in ACS patients on DOACs undergoing PCI and on dual antithrombotic treatment without aspirin.
- Included 3,708 patients from the SWEDEHEART registry, with 32% on ticagrelor and 68% on clopidogrel.
- No significant difference in MACE between groups (aHR 1.02, 95% CI: 0.84-1.23).
- Ticagrelor was associated with higher bleeding risk compared to clopidogrel (aHR 1.53, 95% CI: 1.06-2.22).
- No significant differences in mortality (aHR 1.24, 95% CI: 0.91-1.69) or MI (aHR 0.90, 95% CI: 0.71-1.13).
