- Neutralization activity was not linked to protection; Gc-specific antibodies showed weak neutralization and did not protect against heterologous challenge.
- GP38-specific antibodies, targeting two dominant antigenic sites, did not neutralize but one mediated protection against heterologous challenge in mice via complement-mediated activity.
