- Older adults with atrial fibrillation (AFib) have a high risk of heart failure (HF).
- The study investigated if coexisting AFib and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) increases HF risk.

- Data from 7543 older adults with AFib showed 3168 had MASLD, 259 had MetALD, and 159 had ALD.
