  • Higher remnant cholesterol (RC) levels are consistently associated with advanced biological aging across U.S. (NHANES) and Chinese (CHARLS) cohorts.
  • Each 1-SD increase in RC correlates with higher odds of KDM-based biological aging in both NHANES (OR 1.40) and CHARLS (OR 1.19).
  • Associations are nonlinear in NHANES but generally positive in CHARLS, with stronger nonlinearity for LightAge-based metrics.
  • Higher baseline RC quartiles link to steeper biological age increases over time in CHARLS longitudinal analysis.
  • Serum uric acid (SUA) may partially mediate the RC-aging association, suggesting a potential mechanistic pathway.
