The Gmail app will now create AI summaries

Google is integrating AI features more deeply into its products, including Gmail.
Gmail now automatically generates AI summaries for longer emails or threads with multiple replies on Android and iOS.
Previously, users had to manually request summaries by tapping a chip.
Summaries are created using Gemini and appear at the top of the email, potentially pushing other content down.
The feature is rolling out over 15 days for English-language emails.
Paid Workspace accounts and Google AI Premium subscribers will get automatic summaries; unclear for standard accounts.
Google may expand summaries to the web version of Gmail in the future.
